Strapped

I purchased a Davosa Argonautic Bronze watch about 2 years ago. It came with this black cowhide textured strap. The “texture” is apparently a rubberized coating over the top side of the strap, which makes sense as this is a divers watch. I don’t wear this watch everyday, and I’ve never worn it diving or even swimming. After 2 years of this type of use, the rubberized material has started to flake or peel, but only on the side that has the adjustment holes in the strap. The other side with the clasp seems unaffected. The integrity of the strap itself in its entirety is still perfectly functional. The strap goes so well with this watch, tho, I decided to purchase another and keep it as a back up. I have not put it on the watch at this time.
