Ternos Sixties Seahorse Swiss-Made 40mm Faded Blue Sapphire Crystal Unisex Wristwatch 16152590 Special US Edition 100 units only

$930.00

Description

This unique series offers two different models: the Gold Seahorse and the Blue Seahorse, which present two special color combinations to suit different styles and sensibilities.

The Blue Seahorse, treading the paths of the abyss

The Blue Seahorse plunges deep into the magical experience of the deep sea and its hidden mysteries.

It features a black and blue color scheme with contrasting silver details and markers, which spring out from its mesmerizing dial, which fades from navy blue on top to deep black on the bottom, and echoes the effect felt by professional divers during their explorations.

Both of these watches display a unique case back, created exclusively for this Special US Edition, decorated with a seahorse embellished with a stars and stripes motif, as this Special Edition is reserved for the Davosa fans living in the US.

The Davosa Ternos Sixties faithfully echoes the skin divers of the time. The extra length hands (seconds hand hit the mark), in the 40mm diameter stainless steel case make it perfect on almost anyone's wrist - a charming, unisex watch to emphasize the wearer's sporty vocation.

The watch comes with a unidirectional aluminum bezel, also typical of timepieces of those years, and mounts a domed sapphire glass with anti-reflective treatment that protects the dial - a definite step up from the methacrylate plastic glasses used in that era.

All Davosa Ternos Sixties automatic editions mount the precise automatic caliber DAV 3021, derived from the Sellita SW200, an industry-standard, robust movement beating at 28,800 BPH which gives the watch a 42-hour power reserve.

This watch is really awesome!

I purchased this watch a few weeks ago and is a very high quality watch and the only issue that I had was trying to adjust the bracelet and instead of having one set of screws on the bracelet they are on both sides which makes it very hard to try to adjust them because the screws are so small and you need to hold one and turn the other and every other watch including my Rolex is so much easier to adjust but that is the only negative and I still give the watch 5 stars and for the price I feel this is a great value and I love buying a special edition with only 100 available in the USA so you don’t see everyone wearing the same watch like my submariner which cost $13000 more!

Great value for a Swiss-made dive watch

My favorite thing about this watch is its wearable dimensions, especially for a dive (or dive-style) watch. I've normally shied away from dive watches because they're too clunky and top heavy; however, with a thickness of around 12mm and a very agreeable weight distribution, this wears like a field watch.

The elephant in the room is of course the fact that it's a Rolex homage. I'm normally not into homage-style watches, but I won this watch in a raffle, so I don't mind wearing it because I didn't pay for it.

My only complaint is a very minor one - I would have preferred a display case-back, but I'm guessing Davosa opted not to include one to keep the watch from being too thick.

watches too small people need 42mm -45 better size and gives watches better presence in my opinion
