Watches is a topic that strangely divides people: with the introduction of the modern smartwatches, the world has separated in two halves, traditional watch-wearers, and prophets of doom, who are preaching that the end of horology – a field that has withstood 500 years of evolution – is near. 
We might be a bit partial in our position, but we feel that our analysis is backed by substantial figures that depict a different portrait of the business.

A quality watch is not just a timepiece but becomes a fashion accessory and can be considered a status symbol by some. In some ways, it even suggests what kind of a person the wearer is.

Since its inception, we have seen first the development of the hour hand, then the minute hand, and finally the seconds hand, until watch collectors felt the need to keep track of other time zones (which arose much later in life, around 1870 in America, with the development of railroads). And it is in this area that we find dual-time watches, with their different types and designs. Are you ready to discover them with us?

When we lift our faces and look up at the night sky, we marvel at the beauty of the cosmos and the moon gazing back with its typical curved shape at us, and we feel like we can almost touch it.

And this was probably what legions of watchmakers considered when they thought of showing, through their calculations, the beauty of the moon and its motion through the nights. Chronographs, which have always been a watch collector's delight, became extremely popular during the Fifties and Sixties because of two, if you like, typical applications.

The first was aviation, that is, pilot's watches. The second, and possibly the more mundane one, was motorsports, with the most famous track names still echoing in our ears. 

The same names have often marked the best-known models of watchmakers: one name for all, the legendary Rolex Daytona - whose true denomination, unknown to many, would actually be Cosmograph.
